Peer review: William has been a scientific review panelist at the National
Institutes of Health and the Congressionally Directed Medical
Research Programs (CDMRP) in breast cancer, prostate cancer,
and PTSD/traumatic brain injury administered by the Department
of Defense, US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command. He
has served as a scientic review officer managing peer review panels for the CDMRP and the Peer Review Medical Research Program (PRMRP, part of the CDMRP) for SRA International (formerly Constella Group, LLC) and the American Institute for Biological Sciences.
Research consulting is available for the conceptualization and development of
research projects in the fields of health, mental health,
complementary or alternative therapies, health services
outcomes, and human behavior. This may include planning
projects intended for submission to federal, state or
non-profit organizations.
Grant writing: William has helped organizations develop strategies for grant
writing and the crafting of the application itself. He has
successfully written grants for funding by NIH, the State of
Maine, and a private foundation, and has served on numerous
grant review panels.
